WHAT HAPPENED WHEN SHE REFUSED TO BE A VICTIM
OF CIRCUMSTANCE AND PROACTIVELY SOUGHT CHANGE?
As the woman bolts down the stairs to make her way through the crowd,
she is confronted by two personalities. Although the entire village has pretty
much shut down due to the visit of the Rabbi from Nazareth, it is apparent
that Doubt—appearing as an elderly woman bringing bundles of clean
sanitary cloths, and Unbelief—in the personage of a sinister-looking man
pushing a cart of flowers, are conducting business as usual. Interestingly,
they have arrived at the woman's home just as she is rushing to make her
way through the crowd, and they seem intent on blocking and intimidating
her into accepting her fate. But in an unprecedented response, she
becomes the intimidating force as she charges past them both.
The woman is able to overcome the opposition of Doubt and Unbelief
because in reality, they exist only in her mind, and while their presence
is insistent and intimidating, her faith is greater than them both. But her
determination to reach Jesus has caught the attention of another entity
that exists not in her mind, but in another dimension.
